JPEG images with compression quality set to maximum is preferred file format. (TIFF or PDF are also accepted, accommodating RGB or CMYK.) To determine adequate image pixel dimensions for printing, multiply length in inches by 200. For example, a 600px proof is suitable for a 2" to 3" print. A 20" photo should be 4000px. However, pixels do not need to be exact; requirements allow for a resolution variance of 150ppi to 240ppi (pixels per inch) with good printing result. Vector images (i.e. Adobe Illustrator) are resolution independent meaning they have no pixels so can print crisply any size.
